Vignettes from the cold months

Feb 2016.

Vignettes from the cold months

I seem to have been banging out figurative half stories these past few months.

Armchair General

I suppose it's just a picture of "people who aint enabled" queuing up for a bus. ---Happily (that's permitted isn't it?)

On face book, I promised to paint a picture which followed on from the logo I use for this blog site - which was basically a comment on the encroaching demise of our local libraries. Hopefully portraying "useful" use of these facilities ~ the fact that they are used and have other peripheral social uses. The other contentious image for me is the demise of our Post offices. Why cant they be saved?

Hopefully then (again), this also portrays the usefulness of local, rural bus services ~ where good drivers become like social workers. Passengers bump into associates & even make new friends. For older people this service is pretty well indispensable.

CUTS:
save a buck and blow it
It's a false economy to stop local growth an commitment ~
we close up, then loose out
both financially, socially & even spiritually.

Assasin

-by making something aren’t you inevitably communicating something to others – ‘this is who I am/ what I think/ how I feel’ – even if only as a by product?

What I think

How I feel

Who I am (as oppose to who am I?)

Well - the guy clutching the world to his breast wishes they would leave him alone. Bird Hands is the scout of the group and actually annoys the other two quite often - although he does hold a certain amount of empathy for the cat in the hat. Mind he thinks he's a bit of a weed, really ought to get it a bit more together.

These three come from a little while back, but I feel they somehow fit in here.
