Light Passengers

25-05-2019.

This is from an album I put together in the He He Band, That was a bit earlier in spring although the greater part of these shots don't come from that period in time.

A Return to some work from Turkey

25-05-2019.
At present I'm putting as much of my past work onto a memory card as possible. (64GB) I've come across some stuff that was open to further "embellishment".
On covering as much stuff as I feel like, I will add it to the Istanbul blog as another page.

I made this at the end of my time in Cankurtaran, I don't remember stickling it all together. Although, I do remember branching out and trying out "earthy, but mysterious directions"
On the photographed image, all the edges of the watercolour collage either came out white as the edge of the paper, or with a dark shadow, portraying the actual depth of the lowest layer.
This exercise was about tidying it up and emphasising the different hues and tones.

about telling stories

Rough for the poster.

I like to tell a yarn - maybe its a defence mechanism, maybe its the same as writing a paper, or performing a tune or perhaps even painting.

A Weekend Jamboree Bag

A bunch of largely unfinished, but quite well worked on pictures that I seem to be revolving around at the moment.
Largely started off in a watercolour fashion then digitally tarted up,
some more than others.

Emerging Signet.

From a two page doodle, in front of the telly, then joined up digitally where the hinges ran down the middle.
As that's the season, all of these are going to contain an element of spring. 06/04/19

Lights on the far bank
A re-done memory, winter '18 thinking of summer / autumn 83

Link to a large blog site that contains much of the work I made over a three month period.
( on arriving at the site - click on the title "The Gosani Palace" on the horizontal bar beneath the black & white photo of the boat )

As yet, incomplete.
Undecided on how much cross hatching to keep or loose.
-From my time in a houseboat in Srinagar ( 83 )
On the other side of Dal Lake, up near Neru Park there was a post office boat which used to twinkle at night.

Initial loose watercolour produced during a very rustic period at Shipping Hill around about '82

& tidied up today, 6-4-19
- maybe the starter is better, but I did enjoy re-working it.

An Easter Egg for Brexit.
I was very angry when I made this.
